When patients think you care, they get on your side, save time and money, and make your day run much better. Here's three easy tips that will get the patient on your side.
- Introduce yourself and put a smile in your voice. It helps Mr. Nervous feel more connected and puts the human face on other interactions.
- Get rid of that terrible sign in sheet. It's an excuse to ignore a patient when she arrives - as if you have more important things to do. Greet the patient - its the right thing to do.
- When Miss Tammy has completed her visit, say goodbye and always ask if there is anything else you can do for her. - Talk about making a patient feel important getting her on your team - This does the trick.
